My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Courtyard property in Herald Square, NYC three or four times over the past few years when visiting family in the city. We have always been impressed with the great location, , and the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. The beds are comfortable and the lobby and common areas are lovely. This most recent trip we had the great fortune to be referred to hotel bellman/concierge Jose Ortiz, when we called the hotel for information about finding a car service to help us get to and from the airport. Jose was a tremendous help for my husband and I. He not only arranged for the car service, but kept in contact with us throughout the process so that the driver was on time to pick us up and was able to find us at the airport. He made sure our room was ready when we arrived and even had our room upgraded. Mr. Ortiz also offered to help with obtaining any type of show/attraction tickets and restaurant reservations during our stay. Upon returning home from our trip he texted us to thank us for staying at the Courtyard Marriott Herald Square and let us know that he would be happy to help us on future stays at the hotel. As one who travels often and has always been a loyal Marriott customer, I appreciate the over and above customer service we received at this property. We will surely be back again!

This Courtyard by Marriott hotel has a fantastic central location with immediate access to the subway. The outdoor rooftop bar had great views of the city, but reservations are required at night. Your room key gets you to the front of the line rather than waiting for the bar’s private elevator. The rooms were modern, impeccably clean, and large for NYC standards. The doorman, Michael, had an infectiously positive attitude and he coordinated all of our dinner reservations in addition to setting us up with Champagne flutes and ice buckets to host an impromptu family gathering in the lobby. We highly recommend this hotel!

As a travel agent I’m a tough critic on hotels. We came to the city for my daughter ‘s 17th Birthday Weekend. From check in to check out the staff was amazing. I wish I knew the name of the gentleman whom assisted us at check-in and the chatted with us Saturday because he was amazing, funny, & helpful. My Daughter even said, ” I love him!” After some banter with us getting lost earlier in the day! Highly recommend & will be coming back to say soon!

Great location and comfortable rooms. The roof top bar entrance creates some issues when trying to get into the hotel. The rooftop bar security people tend to block the entrance to the hotel and don’t seem to care or notice that there are people trying to get into the hotel. Makes the entrance to the hotel very unwelcoming. We will not stay here again. Lots of other great Courtyard hotels in Manhattan to pick from.

A hotel brand under the Marriott Company, Courtyard by Marriott falls under the mid-range hotels category intended for business travelers as well as families on a holiday. This Marriott brand competes with other hotels in the same level and niche market, such as Hinton Garden Inn.

During the early 1980s, Marriott has troubles in finding the right brands that will accommodate services for the family. Great room. Nice people around. Clean and newly furnished. No complaints at all. The room was nice, great location, centrally located, lots of food and activities, close to subway station Not in Times Square, which is nice because there is not as much noise, but close enough to walk and be there in minutes. Stay here.

I had a excellent experience at this hotel. The guards were awesome and very helpful willing to assist with just about any concern that you have. The rooms were clean and quiet. The location was spectacular right in the middle of New York you couldn’t ask for a better spot. The service was great every one of the personnel were friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this spot.

I stayed once again this year, and affirm my 5-stars – the staff is attentive and provides wonderful service, the price is good for the location, and rooms are clean and well-appointed. The hotel is centrally located and offers very easy access to the subway at 34th Street/Herald Square, which can get you almost anywhere you need to go in the city.

Fairly nice hotel, quiet and comfortable. Not much choice for breakfast. Some of the other Marriotts I’ve stayed in have usb outlets for charging, but not here. WiFi was complimentary though. A member of staff let themselves into my room unannounced while I was asleep which was very disconcerting. I also found a printed Wikipedia page in my room after being out all day. This has, so far, let my experience down quite a bit.

Convenient located just off Broadway with a view of Empire State from some rooms as well as the roof. Large rooms for a Manhattan hotel with a brand new feel. Comfortable, albeit noisy HVAC in the rooms. Had no problem staying cool during rate summer heat wave. Lots of nice touches in the rooms like Bluetooth equipped clock for those without iPhones, a dim light switch option in the bathroom, power outlets flanking the beds, and a quiet fridge tucked away in the desk furniture.

A little noisy including church bells going off at 2am and then again several times during the night. Probably tough to get somewhere quiet in NYC. I was a little miffed that the very helpful gentleman downstairs got me a taxi for $85 all in including tip only to have the driver tell me the $85 didnt include the tip. Rip off. They must have been in cahoots.

Everything was fantastic except for the fact that I reserved a wheelchair accessible room with 2 double beds and didn’t receive it. I specifically called and reserved this room after having hotels not save the room when booking online. When I got there the hostess informed my my room was checked into already and the only room left was one with a king size bed and a pull out. I agreed and figured my friend was in for an uncomfortable night. At 1am when it was time for bed we realized that the pull out bed didn’t even have enough room to properly pull out and i ended up having to sleep in the king bed with my friend.

This place was absolutely wonderful, clean, great staff, great price and very roomy! These people went out of their way to make our stay wonderful and we couldn’t of been happier! There is even a roof top bar at the top that was a great chill place to have a drink before you go out. I would highly recommend this place and will be staying here again. Great location for everything you want to do in NY, subway right on the corner of the hotel and great little Pub’s right now the street. I couldn’t have had a better experience at a place…EVER! Again…ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

One of the best Marriott experiences my family and I have ever had. We typically stay at Marriott’s when ever we travel but this Marriott had the best customer service we have ever experienced at a hotel. Michael Rolleri the Bellman made our trip! Helped us to our room, booked us a car to the airport within 5 min of checking in. Michael helped us look for Broadway tickets and helped us navigate the subway system. We will never stay anywhere else in New York City from now on!!
