Who Can We Expect To See On Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season 11
The cast of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” has remained fairly consistent throughout the show’s run but, for Season 10, several exciting new faces joined the roster. As The Wrap reported at the time, Raedio vocalist Yung Baby Tate, rapper Renni Rucci, who’s signed to Lil Baby’s record label, and up-and-comer Omeretta The Great, who counts Baby and Nicki Minaj among her fans, all came along for the ride.
Joining them were “Love & Hip-Hop: New York” stars Yandy Smith-Harris and Mendeecees Harris, who’d recently relocated to Atlanta. Season 10 promised to bring “music back to the forefront with a female-led ensemble in the epicenter of hip-hop navigating careers, business empires, layered family dynamics, mental health, and fighting for Black liberation during a national reckoning amid a global pandemic.”
Returning to the fold were Rasheeda Frost, Spice, Sierra Gates, Bambi, Karlie Redd, Kirk Frost, Yung Joc, Erica Mena, Momma Dee, Safaree Samuels and Scrappy. It remains to be seen whether anybody new will join the cast for Season 11, or even if all our fan favorites will be back, but there’s certainly reason to be excited for some shake-ups.
Fans Now Believe That ‘lhhny’ Has Been Canceled For Good Despite No Official Word
If you ask LHHNY fans, the end has officially come for the series. On Nov. 17, 2021, Reality Entertainment TV shared a post that shows a screenshot of the LHHNY Wikipedia page. In particular, the post calls attention to the original release section that shows the dates March 6, 2011, to March 9, 2020 which are the air dates of the first and last episodes of the series.
Although neither VH1 nor showrunner Mona Scott Young has yet to announce the end of LHHNY, fans believe that it’s a wrap for the show. After all, Season 11 should have already been released by now.

“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” is one of, if not the most successful facets of the bulging “Love & Hip Hop” franchise. Premiering on VH1 in 2012, per IMDb, the hit show follows a variety of Atlanta musicians and businesspeople who are heavily involved in the local hip hop scene, alongside cameos from well-known celebrities with connections to the area. “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” is a spinoff of “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” which debuted in 2010 and launched the career of Cardi B, in particular, per Complex.

But its also a love story between two African-Americans in 1960s Harlem, and the delicacy with which the filmmaker threads in the troubles of that time, and the injustice that ultimately tears his main characters apart, is heart-wrenching. Masterly performances abound particularly from Regina King, who won an Oscar for her complex, layered portrayal of a mother on a mission.

Die-hard fans may remember Season 1 of “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” which premiered in March 2011. A decade later, those same fans are awaiting Season 11 of the reality series, hoping they are not on the brink of bad news.
The last season of “LHHNY” to air was Season 10, which ended just as the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020, after 14 episodes. According to The Cinemaholic, the VH1 reality series typically begins the next season within the same year as the last season, releasing new episodes by the end of the year. With these calculations, “LHHNY” Season 11 would have premiered by the end of 2020. Unfortunately for fans, however, one year later, VH1 still has not given an official release date or confirmed that the reality series will even be renewed.
Over the course of 10 seasons, the New York-based series has given hip-hop lovers some crazy relationship drama and even put new artists on the map. Grammy award-winning artist Cardi B began her rap career on the set of “LHHNY,” with the artist appearing on the series from 2015 to 2017 before signing her first record deal with Atlantic Records in 2017.
When Can We Expect The 11th Season Of The Show To Premiere
Unfortunately, VH1 has yet to announce if and when an 11th season of “Love & Hip Hop New York” will be premiering on the network. The 10th season of the show premiered in December 2019 and concluded in March 2020. According to The Cinemaholic, the 10th season of the show performed just as well as past seasons, with loyal fans showing up yet again to boost its ratings on the network.
In years past, the show has followed a rather predictable annual schedule that includes the release of each season of the show toward the end of the year. The Cinemaholic predicted that, given this schedule, the 11th season of the show would have premiered in December 2020. At this point, it’s unclear if the COVID-19 pandemic has played a role in the delay of the premiere.
If the show does return for its 11th season, it’s likely that fans will get another glimpse into the life of cast member Chrissy Lumpkin, who returned for the 10th season after walking away from the show after its second season. “From fights to proposals, we put it all out there,” Lumpkin said during the beginning of the show’s 10th season, per The Cinemaholic. “But when it all fell apart, I chose to walk away. But you know, you should never say never. It’s been almost ten years and a lot has happened.”

As Shadow and Act notes, “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” is the highest-rated show in the hit franchise, continuing to draw in viewers all these years after its initial debut. In a joint interview with several cast-members and series creator Mona Scott-Young, Rasheeda Frost admitted it was tough taking a break from the show due to the pandemic. “It was definitely a big change, but it’s good to be back up and running outside. A lot of hadn’t seen each other so getting back to the business, back to work and back to doing what we do is a good feeling,” she said.
On why the show continues to be so popular, Scott-Young demurred, “It’s always been a collective effort.” She elaborated, “I always credit the talent because without them being so open and letting us into their lives day in, day out, there would be no show.” As far as the “Love & Hip Hop” producer is concerned, it’s enough just to have contributed to history and culture in some small way but, regardless, “I feel honored, I feel proud, but definitely always very, very blessed and grateful for the success and longevity of the franchise.” Evidently, Season 11 is going to be a must-watch.

Reality TV lovers are anxiously awaiting the return of “Love & Hip Hop: New York” after the 10th season of the VH1 series ended in March 2020.
