You may have seen the Falls from various anglesby boat , at the base , and from the scenic platforms during the day, but something about seeing the light display at night and the resulting colorful mist that rises is worth the trip back to the Falls. You get a completely different perspective. There are several places to see the lights, but one of the best is near the Horseshoe Falls. The Niagara Falls Illumination Board has been illuminating the Falls since 1925. In 2016, the halogen lights that shine on the Falls were given a $4 million makeover.
