Since 2005, New York City has had the lowest crime rate of the 25 largest US cities . In the main parts of Manhattan, the subway is almost always safe. I use it 24/7 and never have any issues, but if you want to play it really safe, I recommended not using it between about midnight and 5:00am or out to less crowded areas, like further parts of Queens and Brooklyn.
If you are not familar with urban cities, here are a few tips. During daylight, the subway rarely has safety issues. At night, if staying in a remote area, it might be best to avoid the subway. Stations such as Union Square or Times Square are pretty much safe all the time and have the most frequent trains. Always keep your purse and bags closed and close to you.

Lets walk through an example of subway directions from the Museum of Natural History to Times Square on Google Maps. For popular attractions, you dont need to know addresses, just the names will do.

The Marbled Lungfish has the largest known animal genome. Its genome is made up of 130 billion base pairs, which is about 126.8 billion more than the average human genome.
Comparatively, small viruses and bacteria have fewer base pairs. The Hepatitis D virus has only 1,700 base pairs, while E. coli bacteria has 4.6 million. Interestingly, research has not found a link between the size of a species genome and the organisms size or complexity.
In fact, there are still a ton of unanswered questions in the field of genome research. Why do some species have small genomes? Why do some have a ton of redundant DNA? These are still questions being investigated by scientists today.

In 2009, the European Space Agency launched a space observatory called Planck to study the properties of the universe as a whole.
Its main task was to measure the afterglow of the explosive Big Bang that originated the universe 13.8 billion years ago. This afterglow is a special type of radiation called cosmic microwave background radiation .

Many transit maps for the New York City Subway have been designed since the subway’s inception in 1904. Because the subway was originally built by three separate companies, an official map for all subway lines was not created until 1940, when the three companies were consolidated under a single operator. Since then, the official map has undergone several complete revisions, with intervening periods of comparative stability.
The current iteration of the New York City Subway map dates from a design first published in 1979. The official map has evolved gradually under the control of the Marketing and Corporate Communications Department of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority . The 1979 design was created by the MTA Subway Map Committee, chaired by John Tauranac, which outsourced the graphic design of the map to Michael Hertz Associates.

Starting in the mid-19th century, the United States became a magnet for immigrants seeking to escape poverty in their home countries. As Italian immigration grew in the early 20th century many joined ethnic gangs, including Al Capone, who got his start in crime with the Five Points Gang.The Mafia first developed in the mid-19th century in Sicily and spread to the East Coast of the United States during the late 19th century following waves of Sicilian and Southern Italian emigration. Lucky Luciano established Cosa Nostra in Manhattan, forming alliances with other criminal enterprises, including the Jewish mob, led by Meyer Lansky, the leading Jewish gangster of that period. From 19201933, Prohibition helped create a thriving black market in liquor, upon which the Mafia was quick to capitalize.

Brooklyn And Queens Offer Tons Of Settings
New York City is more than the sum of its parts, but there is so much that Brooklyn and Queens bring to the citys atmosphere that make them essential to experience when booking a trip to The Big Apple. From the youthful nature of Williamsburg and the pretty streets of Park Slope in the former, or the culturally diverse Astoria and the residential and affluent Forest Hills, Queens, the east of New York City feels very different to its Manhattan counterpart. This would make it a fantastic inclusion in the upcoming Spider-Man project as it would go further to make the sequel even more accurate to real life while adding some much-needed scope.
Miles Morales 2020 story being set almost entirely in Harlem made the tale feel fresh, and did well to give the narrative a sense of geographical identity. It highlighted an area of Manhattan that not everyone may be familiar with, and while Brooklyn and Queens have neighborhoods that are more well-trodden than others, their inclusion would do so well to bring a new flavor to a city that is so much more than people may initially believe.

New Yorks Size Is A Strength
The best part of Spider-Man was arguably its movement, as web-slinging through the streets, pausing only to stop sporadic crimes, was a thing of beauty and so much fun to do. However, it often felt like the fantastic gameplay was hindered by the size of the map itself. While Spider-Man is by no means small, its not as large as other Sony first party titles like Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon Zero Dawn. As such, it felt more intimate in design, which served the story well, but after a handful of hours zipping past the same monuments and locations, it can soon get tiring.
Adding more size would give players more reason to enjoy the web-slinging, and as long as its given the same attention to detail as the Manhattan of the first two games, Spider-Man 2 will be all the better for it. Implementing more side activities and main quests that take place in Brooklyn and Queens would bring Insomniacs franchise more in line with the size of other AAA games in Sonys first party. New York Citys five boroughs make up one of the biggest cities on Earth, and imitating a fraction of its impressive scope would offer geographical diversity, and place a higher emphasis on traversal, which is where the series shines the most.
