Now I like to try and be funny with my Housewives recaps. I try to sprinkle in some Bootique jokes . Maybe an occasional reference to how much boobage is shown. But this weeks episode of RHONY is hard to poke fun atat least the very beginning. The first half was like a A Very Special RHONY. But like in a good waynot the kind of very special episode like when Punky Brewsters friend got trapped in an abandoned refrigerator.
We followed up on Carole and Dorindas trip to London. Both women had ties to the city due to their late husbands. Carole had come back to retrieve her husbands ashes and Dorinda hadnt actually been back since her husband passed away a few years ago. Now, I had not really loved Carole this season. I found her to be sort of aloof, which was weird because she was my favorite in previous seasons. But she really revealed a lot in this episode and had some incredibly moving moments where it was just her and her husbands ashes. There wasnt even activityjust her laying in bed, with one hand on the urn. Still, I cried along with Carole while she clearly relived memories that she hadnt thought about in a while.
While this was all happening in New York, Dorinda and Carole had their own cocktail party. Naturally Carole decided to wear overalls and a fur vest because you know. #Forever21

How Real Housewives Of New York Is Shaking Things Up After Recent Star’s Exit

The Real Housewives of New York City is nearing the end of Season 12 on Bravo, but if you’re expecting more of the same ol’, same ol’ when the hit series returns for Season 13, a surprise is coming. While fans probably know by now that two of the cast members have already stepped down for the upcoming season, it now looks like producers are trying to fill at least one of those recently vacated spots with someone who’s a little less rich and white.
That’s right RHONY fans, after 12 seasons of following wealthy white women as they jaunt around New York City in glittery dresses, argue over, well, pretty much everything, and have unfortunate pooping accidents every time they take any kind of trip outside of the city limits, we might actually be able to see some black or brown ladies do the same in the new season. Yay! According to TMZ, the producers are already actively looking to cast outside of the show’s typical type, and are currently in talks with some potential new cast members who would help to diversify the series.
As we’ve seen recently, a lot of showrunners are realizing that they can no longer continue to keep their casts all-white. While many scripted and reality shows have sought out diverse casts for many years now, for some reason, several of the Real Housewives franchise shows have not been among those series, at least not until recently.

The Real Housewives Of New York City Reunion Canceled At Bravo
The drama surrounding The Real Housewives of New York City is showing no signs of slowing down.
Fans will not get to see the current roster of housewives come together to run down the season’s biggest developments, it has been announced.
Per the Daily Mail, the reunion has been officially canceled.
“Due to scheduling challenges around taping the reunion of The Real Housewives of New York City in a timely manner, Bravo confirmed there will not be a reunion for this season,” a spokesperson for the network told the outlet.
“It’s disappointing to not be able to bring the cast back together, but we are happy to have ended on such a high note with the finale, and are now shifting our focus to next season.”
The low-rated and highly criticized 13th season wrapped at the end of August, and with multiple delays, it seemed like there would be no reunion.
“For the love of God put us out of our misery and stop f***ing around with our lives,” the production insider dished.
“This is ridiculous and so unfair. This season shouldve been wrapped by now,” the source continued.
“We all know there is something big happening behind the scenes but Bravo needs to just step up and deal with it,” the source said. “Its become an utter joke now.”
The taping of the reunion had been delayed several times already, and there was a lot of drama throughout the season for the cast to unpack.
The decision to scrap the reunion entirely certainly sends a message about the way Bravo feels about the series.
