The highly-rated Pod 51 is marketed as budgetand comparatively speaking, if you dont want to go all-out hostel, it is! New York is an expensive city, no doubt about it, but this place has found a nice balance by stripping away all the fancy stuff and getting back to basic creature comforts.
Its the more local neighborhood-based sister hotel to the wonderful Pod 31 and yes, some of the rooms are on the small side, but they are comfortable with an en-suite, air-conditioning, and equipped with everything you need. Location-wise, this hip gem of a place is ideal as its located in the cool area of Manhattan Midtown East and still close to everything youll want to explore. The staff are friendly and its a great option for solo travelers as the layout makes it very easy to meet fellow guests and enjoy the social aspects of traveling. The Pod hotels can do no wrong!

Equinox Hotels Hudson Yards
When it comes to brand commitment, Equinoxs hotel debut couldnt be more on the money. The high-profile, high-octane gym groups first foray away from pure workout territory has, as yet, done nothing but cement its reputation. Since opening at the Hudson Yards development in New York last summer, the property is doing a stellar job or luring gym members and well-heeled hotel guests alike to the far west of Manhattan, an area not traditionally known for luxury.
Apart from the sleek, simple design, the sweet potato breakfast bowls and access to the propertys exceptional 60,000 square foot gym, there is another benefit to booking a room on the perimeter edge of a city as bustling and built up as New York the views. With vistas out over the Hudson River over to New Jersey, not being surrounded entirely by skyscrapers gives Equinox more than its fair share of New Yorks natural light and a real sense of space apt for a hotel so focused on wellness and recovery.
The gym itself is excellent and the facilities second to none but hotel guests would do well to be aware that there is an occasional brusqueness to the service in this part of the property given it is not for hotel use only and is first and foremost a member-filled gym. Best Cheap Mid Budget And Luxury Hotels In Brooklyn New York City
Brooklyn isnt anywhere near as touristy as Manhattan and just from a quick hotel search that much is apparent. However, despite far fewer options, there are also far fewer people booking the rooms. Less demand means less supply.
Williamsburgs bars and restaurants spill out onto Berry Street and Bedford Avenue. Wythe, Hoxton and William Vale are in close proximity to this area and each other. Hotel Indigo is in a much busier area but well connected.
Further down in Brooklyn, if you can afford it, we think 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge has to have one of the best views in the city sunset over Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan every single day from the pool no less!

Personally, I think Long Island City is the best area to stay in Queens, since its the closest to Manhattan. MoMA PS1 and other museums, Penthouse 808, an Asian cocktail bar and restaurant with incredible views of the Queensboro Bridge and Manhattan, Long Island City Flea Market, Gantry Plaza State Park, and much more are located here, so you wont have time to get bored.
