Where Is Tiffany’s In New York

Tiffany & Co Moves Off Fifth During Flagship Renovations

Tiffany “New York” Pollard Best Moments-Flavor of Love Season 1

NEW YORK – A famed Fifth Avenue Shop has a new address, albeit temporarily.

Tiffany and Co. is moving its flagship location around the corner while renovations are done to the store.

The new spot is located on East 57th Street between Fifth and Madison.

It is serving as the company’s home for two years while renovations are done to the original location.

Shoppers can tend to all of their jewelery and accessory needs in the new location but the store’s Blue Box Cafe has been shut down during the work.

The renovations are set to be complete in late 2021.

Reed Krakoff, the chief artistic officer for Tiffany, says a lot of work has gone into making the temporary location worthy of the name.

“The blue box is sort of the center of the color blue, Tiffany blue is really at the center of the brand. And as you walk around the space you see different interpretations and versions of that color, threaded throughout the windows, the display cases, the artwork,” Krakoff noted.

The temporary location takes up four floors and offers all the features available at the permanent store.

Take A Stroll In Central Park

Tiffany & Co.s flagship store sits just two blocks from the southeast corner of Central Park. Take a break from shopping, and get some fresh air at this famous park, which is larger than the entire country of Monaco. Walk through winding, tree-lined paths, explore a variety of gardens, stop at the zoo, go ice skating, or just relax on one of the grass-covered lawns.

Blue Book And The Civil War

The first Tiffany mail order catalog, known as the “Blue Book”, was published in 1845 in the United States , and publishing of the catalog continues in the 21st century. In 1862, Tiffany supplied the Union Army with swords , flags and surgical implements. In 1867, Tiffany was the first U.S. firm to win an award for excellence in silverware at the Exposition Universelle in Paris. In 1868, Tiffany was incorporated.

The private roof deck also includes lounge areas, a putting green, an outdoor bar, a dining area and a fire pit. Inside, theres a lounge, a full bar, a billiard area and a gym.

They Got Married At Her Family’s Mar

On Nov. 12, 2022, Tiffany and Boulos said their vows at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. Tiffany’s mother Marla Maples told PEOPLE that the family chose the venue because “this was Tiffany’s childhood home and where she was brought into the world.”

“We are focused on this sacred union and welcoming beloved friends and family, not on politics,” she said.

A social source described the nuptials as a “joyous family occasion,” noting that all of the Trumps were in attendance.

According to Maples, both of Tiffany’s parents played roles in the wedding. Donald walked Tiffany down the aisle and partook in a father-daughter dance while Maples shared a prayer during the service.

As for the bride’s dress, Tiffany chose a gown that nodded to Boulos’ heritage. “It’s a Lebanese American wedding, so we were so happy to have Elie Saab create the magic,” said Maples. The couple’s cake also had special meaning: it was modeled after Donald and Maples’ custom, 7-foot-tall Sylvia Weinstock wedding cake.

Things To Do At Tiffanys

Tiffany & Co’s Fifth Avenue location is still a popular spot for proposals as well as engagement ring shopping. There are lots of salespeople on hand to help you try on your favorite baubles and make an informed decision.

Even if you can’t afford to make a purchase, you can make like Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s and window shop. This is an excellent store for browsing, with so many of the goods in glass displays throughout the store. While many “window shoppers” just look at the displays on the main floor, it’s worth it to work your way to the back of the store to ride the elevators upstairs to see some of the additional areas they are far less crowded and allow you to really savor the Tiffany’s experience.

Visitors also won’t want to miss the chance to see the 128 karat Tiffany Diamond, which is normally displayed on the Main Floor of the Fifth Avenue flagship store. On the Mezzanine level, visitors to the Patek Philippe Salon will see a collection of important and historic watches on display.

On the fourth floor of the store is the Blue Box Cafe, a recent addition to the complex. It’s hard to pass up the chance to literally have “Breakfast at Tiffanys” but if you can’t make it that early, it’s also fun for lunch and afternoon tea. The menu changes seasonally to incorporate local ingredients. You can read it here.

A Breakfast At Tiffanys Guide To New York

Breakfast at Tiffanys had two real stars. One was Audrey Hepburn and the other was New York City. As the films production notes put it: It all happens in NYC as of right now. The movie celebrated its 60th birthday in 2021, but the magic of the city that gripped its heroine, Holly Golightly, has never gone away

Truman Capote, who wrote the famous novella in 1958, called New York the most stimulating of all the cities in the world. Its like living inside an electric light bulb. You could hardly get a better recipe for a movie. By 1960, when the film based on Capotes book was shot, traces of its old post-War glamour still lingered, while the age of Andy Warhol and loft living was on the way.

But Manhattans Upper East Side, where Capotes Holly Golightly lived, has a timeless appeal. Stroll the pretty streets and youll still find quirky antique shops and delis tucked among the high-rent properties. Hollys comings and goings in the movie were filmed at 169, East 71st Street, though the interiors of her apartment were created on the Paramount lot in Los Angeles. You still see brownstones with steps and iron fire escapes just right for sitting on to sing Moon River, maybe. Decades after Breakfast at Tiffanys, we were told Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City lived just two streets away.

But of course theres one particular location forever linked with Holly, and with Audrey Hepburn, just a healthy walk away…

It’s An Experience That Starts With Charm And Elegance

For those thinking that dining at Blue Box Cafe is a luxurious experience, they’d be correct. When the cafe was open prior to 2021 there was at least a 30-day waitlist at all times. That’s how coveted the experience was and how lucrative the chance to literally have breakfast at Tiffany’s – but can anyone be blamed? It’s Tiffany’s, for goodness sake!

A post shared by MOMO

The cafe itself drew inspiration from the novella published in 1958 of the same name, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, by Truman Capote. It’s this novella that inspired the movie because – fun fact – not many people realize that there was a book, first. Upon first arriving at Tiffany’s on Fifth , the experience begins. The window showcases only the finest in jewelry as it has for decades now, gaining the reputation of being one of the top jewelry sellers in the country. It’s with this iconic reputation that that anticipation – and stomach rumbles – grow as guests proceed through doors that are heavy with importance.

There are certain movie scenes that are so iconic that they still retain their importance in the pop-culture lexicon, even decades later. When Holly Golightly, played by Audrey Hepburn, stepped out of a yellow cab and sauntered to the window of Tiffany & Co. in the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffanys, with Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercers Moon River playing in the background, such a scene was created.

As Holly ate a croissant and carried a cup of coffee, she was still, unfortunately, on the outside of the building. Since 1837, Tiffanys has been a preeminent luxury jeweler and not a place where you could actually have breakfast. However, that changed on Friday, with the opening of the Blue Box Café, at the companys venerable flagship store at Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in New York City. Menu items will be seasonal and reflect a sophisticated take on a variety of New York dishes.

Located on the fourth floor of the building, which houses a recently renovated home and accessories section, the café is a bright, airy space, with the Breakfast at Tiffany breakfast starting at $29. The offering comes with coffee or tea, followed by a croissant and seasonal fruit and rounded out with your choice of a buttermilk waffle, smoked salmon and bagel stack, truffle eggs, or avocado toast.
