Before You Leave The United States

New Yorks Times Square nearly empty for New Years celebrations

Make sure to plan ahead:

  • You tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Do not travel until a full 10 days after your symptoms started or the date your positive test was taken if you had no symptoms.
  • You are waiting for results of a COVID-19 test.
  • If your test comes back positive while you are at your destination, you will need to isolate and postpone your return until its safe for you to travel. Your travel companions may need to quarantine.
  • You had close contact with a person with COVID-19 and are recommended to quarantine.
  • Do not travel until a full 5 days after your last close contact with the person with COVID-19. It is best to avoid travel for a full 10 days after your last exposure.
  • If you must travel during days 6 through 10 after your last exposure:
  • Get tested at least 5 days after your last close contact. Make sure your test result is negative and you remain without symptoms before traveling. If you dont get tested, avoid travel until a full 10 days after your last close contact with a person with COVID-19.
  • Properly wear a well-fitting mask when you are around others for the entire duration of travel during days 6 through 10. If you are unable to wear a mask, you should not travel during days 6 through 10.
  • If you had close contact with a person with COVID-19 but are NOT recommended to quarantine

    BRYANT PARK

    Located just one block from Times Square, Bryant Park is a calming green oasis in the heart of Manhattan. There are activities here throughout the year, live music, board games and ping-pong tables but also an open library, allowing you to take a book and read during your chill-out in the park time.

    The park is between 40th and 42nd Streets and 5th and 6th Avenues.

    TOP OF THE ROCK OBSERVATORY

    Head to the top of Rockefeller Center to enjoy panoramic, uninterrupted views of New York City. The famous building is under a 5 minute walk from Times Square and we recommend heading here for sunset.

    MUSEUM OF MODERN ART

    MoMA is a stand out art museum in New York City. They have a vast collection of contemporary art from world-renowned artists. The museum is around a 12 minute walk or you can catch subway line F, R or E.

    The Broadway Theater district is a famous hotspot among all interested in hit musicals and classic modern dramas, which are showcased in multiple theaters. With stores, restaurants, clubs, and bars lining up the street, this would be an ideal place to visit when in New York City. The New Victory Theater is the only full-time performing arts theater, offering opera performances, dance shows, circus, and puppetry.
