Check Out The Views From An Observation Deck
You may think that its not worth going to an observation deck when you can just go to a rooftop bar, but you do get a better view the higher you get. Especially, if you are visiting NYC for the first time, you should go to at least one observation deck.
My favorite view is looking out over Central Park from Top of the Rock
The top of the Empire State Building has played an important role in several romantic movies like Sleepless in Seattle, so that could be a good way to end your night. Personally, I think the views are best from Top of the Rock in Rockefeller Center because it gives you the best perspective on Central Park. You could also go to One World Observatory or the newest option, The Edge.
Note that some NYC tourist passes do include observation decks.
Go To A Broadway Show
One of the major Bucket List experiences in New York City is to see a Broadway Show. If you have a show in mind, be sure to make reservations in advance.
If youre on a budget, dont write off Broadway shows. You can actually find tickets for cheap on TodayTix or by following these tips.
Cost: Tickets typically range from $35 to $55 when you get them discounted, but can be upwards of $100 if you pay full price.

See New York City From Above*
Theres no better way to get a feeling of the the sheer size of this city than by seeing it from above.
There are many buildings and rooftop bars that offer good view of the Big Apple, but two of the most popular views are the Top of the Rock and the Empire State Building. Luckily, both are part of the NYC CityPASS.
However, if you only have time for one, we would recommend Top of the Rock because youll be able to see the Empire State Building in the skyline, which is the iconic view of New York.

Take A Stroll On The High Line
Another romantic thing to do in NYC is head to the High Line. Its true that there is not much green space in Manhattan. Thats why in 2009 the High Line was formed on the old New York Central Railroad platform on the west side of Manhattan. The High Line is a one and half a mile long elevated park where you can walk with your loved one and enjoy the wonderful outdoors in New York City. Its perfect for a romantic date on a nice day.
Theres also some great food, a coffee shop, and even a little bar along the walkway making it a great place to come for lunch. From the High Line, we suggest you head to the new Whitney location or check out the Chelsea Market. We love oysters and you can pick up some fresh ones at the Cull & Pistol oyster bar inside the market. In case youre wondering the High Line is one of the most romantic places in New York.

Anniversary Ideas In Nyc
Since New York happens to be one of the world’s most romantic cities, it will always be one of the greatest places to toast a special occasion. If you’re looking for a unique way to commemorate your wedding day, the Big Apple offers more ways than one. Here’s how to celebrate an anniversary in NYC.
Grand Central Station Whispering Wall
Grand Central Station is one of those iconic places that shows up in all sorts of movies and TV shows, so its pretty cool to see in real life if you have time. Its likely that youll need to make a transfer here anyway, so pop upstairs and take a quick look.
The ceiling is painted with constellations, and is a sight in itself. But one of the things many people dont know about is the Whispering Wall.
There is a section of the walkway that allows you to stand in opposite corners of your travel partner and you can whisper to each other. It is pretty cool, and kids will have a fun time acting nonchalant while whispering secrets that only your partner on the other side of the walkway can hear. The passersby wont be able to hear a thing! Another great tip from Carmela from No Wrong Turns.
How to get there: In Grand Central Station, head to the lower concourse right in front of Oysters Bar and there you will see an arched 4-way passway. Stand in opposite corners and start whispering.

See The Sites Of Lower Manhattan From A Kayak

A quick trip on the Hudson in a double kayak is a great way to see the city while bonding with your boo.
This experience also allows you to take in some of the best views in NYC for free!
Oh, and if you like adventure, there are also some great hiking trails in Manhattan as well as some scenic hikes on Long Island. Or, if youre looking for a weekend getaway, the vistas from atop the Mount Van Hoevenberg summit as well as Mount Marcy summit both located in the Adirondacks are breathtaking.
Go For A Horse And Carriage Ride In Central Park
It doesnt get any more romantic than a horse and carriage ride weaving through Central Park. This has to rate as the most romantic place to bring your girlfriend in NYC.
This 45-minute tour is a magical experience meant to be shared. Think two miles of terraces and green fields, as your guide narrates your whereabouts.
As many Manhattan visitors have the idea to hail a carriage, you wont want to be stuck waiting around for one to free up. This opportunity allows you to select your preferred time slot so that you dont have to plan your date night around it.
