The Box Hotel A Beautiful Cool Hidden Gem Offering An Authentic Brooklyn Nyc Experience
This is one of the most endearing and unique places to stay in New York and in a city like the Big Apple thats saying something! Housed in a converted factory, the now very polished 4-star and exceptionally rated Box Hotel has suitably very cool industrial-chic interiors.
The hotel is adorned with artwork commissioned by local artists and other great design features such as hardwood floors and pendant lamps. Most of the rooms are actually more like apartments just extremely visually striking ones and the loft rooms and 1- to 2-bedroom apartments have fully equipped kitchens, cozy living rooms, and pull-out couches.
There are suite-like bedrooms also available and all benefit from free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, coffee-making facilities, balconies offering some superb city views as well as a communal gym, a dry sauna, and steam room. As well as being a super cool New York abode, its location is pretty funky too, its based just across the road from Pulaski Bridge in Brooklyn, only a 9-minute walk from the Greenpoint Avenue subway station and 6 miles from the Empire State Building and if things cant get much cooler theres even a shuttle service to the subway in a 1970s checker cab not bad at all!

The Best Of Williamsburg: Wythe Hotel
Speaking of Brooklyncentral/downtown BK isnt the boroughs only hot spot. Williamsburg is famously robust, serving as Brooklyns longtime destination for nightlife, coffee culture, and boutiques. And, if you stay at the Wythe Hotel, you also get Manhattans eastern skyline view. But thats not the hotels only draw: The factory-turned-hotel has been Williamsburgs favorite boutique stay for nearly a decade, with its brick walls and floor-to-ceiling guestroom windows. Its a common staycation spot for locals and a modern wedding venue, what with its range of rooms (everything from bunk beds to expansive lofts. The Wythes latest draw is the rooftop Bar Blondeau, with a European seafood-centric menu and unencumbered views of that beautiful Manhattan skyline. Bathe yourself in city lights as you watch NYC wind down for the night.

Best Neighborhood For History: The Financial District
The Financial District area of New York City definitely caters to business workers during the day but its become a lot cooler of an area in the last few years. Its now a popular place to live in the city. Here youll be able to take in the old city: the historic churches, buildings, and taverns that have been around since the 1700s. Youll also find Federal Hall, the Statue of Liberty, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Wall Street, and Battery Park. In short, it may be busy but theres a lot to do here, making it a convenient area to base yourself.
Best places to stay in the Financial District
- BUDGET: Eurostars Wall Street There are not many budget options in this area, mostly because it caters to people traveling on business. But Eurostars consistently offers good prices, and amenities include a microwave and TV in each room. Free WiFi, too.
- MID-RANGE: Hilton Garden Inn NYC Financial Center/Manhattan Downtown A 24-hour convenience store and the fitness center are just two reasons to love this place. Its also a stones throw from the Charging Bull on Wall Street and Battery Park!

The Best Boutiques In Soho
In addition to mainstream stores, boutiques in SoHo are cleverly curated shops that cater specifically to their customers. Boutique shopping in NYC is a great way to find unique pieces that you wont necessarily find in bigger department stores. SoHo invites you to discover little creative shops, ran by young New Yorkers who sell their handcrafted products.
SoHo, New York is a lot more than just the big names of fashion magazines. Narrow alleyways, side streets, and sales carts on the sidewalks have a variety of special gifts and memories that you can purchase for a great deal.
Your SoHo shopping experience will be a memory that youll never forget, thats for sure. Our personal tip check out the MoMa Design Store on Spring Street. New York City has a lot of MoMa stores, but we think the one in SoHo is the best one. Another tip visit SoHo during the week because the weekend can be really busy.

Why Is Lower Manhattan One Of The Best Places To Stay In Nyc
Lower Manhattan might not be the first place you think of when considering where to stay in New York City. However, it is filled with tourist attractions and access to unmissable landmarks.
Also, the financial district area is booming with tourists after new shops and hotels have been developed in recent years around the 9/11, One World Trade Center and Oculus area.
No, that doesnt mean you should stay in Lower Manhattan because yes, you could just visit and then take a subway back to another area.
But anyone hunting the best NYC photography locations should consider this area because it is right next to Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty and One World Observatory.
And another huge bonus in this area? Many hotels here offer discounted rates at weekends when business trippers vacate hotel rooms otherwise occupied at inflated rates during the week.

Midtown is the section just south of Central Park and primarily a business and tourist district. Here youll find towering skyscrapers, each jockeying for a view of the park luxury shopping on 5th Avenue and tons of classic New York City cabs and hot dog stands on the streets.
While no one in their right mind wants to live in Midtown, given how hectic it is, many visitors to NYC will like how centrally located this neighborhood is!
You can walk straight into Central Park for a picnic, zip up the 4, 5 and 6 trains north to the classic museums on the Upper East Side or walk downtown to Rockefeller Center and Times Square.

Brooklyn: Best Places To Stay Outside Of Nyc
Brooklyn is also a fantastic option for travelers looking to save on hotel costs. Popular neighborhoods like Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, and Dumbo are on or near the Brooklyn waterfront. These neighborhoods have been revitalized from their industrial pasts into a trendy, bohemian scene. Warehouse spaces are now art galleries, coffee shops, artist spaces, restaurants, beer gardens, and apartments. Regardless of which of these neighborhoods you look to stay, remember its less about the neighborhood and more about how close your hotel is to the subway.

Staying at highly regarded and much-loved The Jane is an experience in itself. Lying on the edge of the Meatpacking Districts nightlife hub the vintage style budget boutique hotel has a quirky, time-warp feel which features rooms endearingly inspired by old-fashioned train cabins. In 1912 the hotel sheltered survivors of the Titanic, in the 1920s it became a haven for sailors and then it was lovingly restored on its centennial in 2008. Why Is Times Square One Of The Best Places To Stay In Nyc
Times Square is not our cup of tea but it is extremely convenient and central. Connections to all of Manhattan and Brooklyn are made easy with various subway lines running through or very close to Times Square.
But the main reason to choose a hotel in Times Square is value. Even if you visit NYC at Christmas, you are going to find value in hotels around Times Square.
You can pick up a super cheap room at a decent hotel for excellent value, especially during the latter parts of covid restrictions. These current prices wont last long once everything is back to normal but it is still an easier place to pick up a bargain due to high competition for budget hotels.
