The NYU Langone Health medical center is situated near the East River waterfront at 550 First Avenue between East 30th and 34th Streets. The campus hosts the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Tisch Hospital, Kimmel Pavilion, Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital, and the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine. Application Review And Notification
An integrated review of a students academic background and University records is required to confirm admission to any NYU Global Academic Center. At the point of application, close attention is paid to the applicant’s academic transcript and personal statement. Once an admissions decision has been reached, the applicant will be notified of the decision by email, typically within 2-4 weeks of the stated application deadline . Only completed applications will be reviewed. If an application is missing a required component it will not be reviewed until the missing material is received.

Academic Success & Review of University Records
Please be aware that admission to any of the NYU Global Academic Programs is contingent upon the applicants continued academic success and a review of his or her University records. Should a students admission be revoked as a result of this review, New York University is not responsible for refunding any expenses incurred in preparation for the intended semester of study.
University Leave Policy
Students who have been on leave from the University must return to the New York City campus and successfully complete one academic semester of full-time course work before enrolling in a CAS Summer Abroad program.
Are There Restrictions To Applying
The earliest you can apply for internal transfer admission is the second semester/term of consecutive full-time study at your current NYU school or college.
If accepted, you would begin your study at the new NYU school or college the following semester. The earliest you can begin your study at the new NYU school or college would be the first semester of your second year.
The latest semester/term for which you can apply for transfer admission is the end of your second year of study at NYU. The latest students can begin their study at a new NYU school or college is the first semester of their junior year. Typically applications to transfer between NYU schools and colleges are not permitted during or after the junior year.
Please note that some programs are open only to Fall or Spring applications and may have additional requirements such as an audition or portfolio, minimum GPA, or completion of required courses. It is strongly recommended that you check our Additional Program Requirements page before beginning the internal transfer process.

Any student who has already applied, been admitted, or confirmed to study away for an upcoming term but who has decided to change his or her first choice program location should submit a program change request form. Please understand that change requests will be reviewed on a space available basis and that your application will be reassessed in light of the information you include here.
Students who have previously confirmed their intent to enroll in study away but who have decided to cancel their enrollment, should submit our cancellation request form.
A Note for All Students: Upon acceptance, you will be required to submit a confidential medical form and a confidential immunization report signed by your physician.

NYU has a host of foreign facilities used for study away programs, referred to as Global Academic Centers. As of 2012, NYU operates 12 academic sites in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America, including undergraduate academic-year and summer study away programs in Accra, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Florence, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Paris, Prague, Sydney, Tel Aviv, and Washington, D.C. One of the most noteworthy is the 57-acre campus of NYU Florence, located at Villa LaPietra in Italy. The estate was bequeathed by the late Sir Harold Acton to NYU in 1994, and at the time it was the largest donation to a university in history.
