Why It Is Great
Instead of playing the stereotype that all witches are wicked, this show takes the class movie and gives it a cool twist, a message not to judge people by their look or the first impressions. You will walk out of the theatre, appreciating this evil character more.
The music is entertaining and catchy. Some of my favorites are Defying Gravity, Popular, Dancing Through Life, and For Good.
The stage is incredibly beautiful and detailed, which creates an immersive experience to make you feel like being part of the show, not to mention the gorgeous costumes, magical lighting, sound design, and choreography.
And If I Don’t Speak English Is It Worth Going To A Musical
Absolutely yes! Some people are hesitant to go to the theater in the United States because they don’t speak English, but this is not a problem on Broadway. Think that musicals are not movies with long dialogues but the thread of the story is full of musical numbers, choreographies and songs that will help you to follow the plot easily.
In any case, if you continue to doubt about it, my advice is to opt for a musical that has been made into a movie such as Chicago, The Lion King, or Aladdin. If you review the movie before traveling, it will be much easier to follow it because they usually have the same script.
However, New York theaters are aware that they attract foreign audiences to their theaters so they are prepared in this regard. The most blockbuster plays usually offer the option of renting headphones that summarize each scene in Spanish, so you will be aware of everything that happens on stage.
They cost about $10 and you have to leave your passport at the window as a guarantee, which you get back at the end of the show when you return the headset.
The musicals that, for the moment, have this service are: The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, Aladdin, Wicked, Dear Evan Hansen, Book of Mormon and Come From Away. However, if you wish to rent one of these headphones, my recommendation is to ask at the theater box office if they are available for a specific play.

How To Buy Broadway Tickets At The Theater Box Office
In my experience, it does not seem to me to be the most advisable option. There are several reasons for this, which I will explain below:
Buying tickets for a Broadway musical at the box office means that you will have to buy them when you land in New York, so you will have to adapt to the theater’s schedule, travel there and wait in a long line to buy them.
This means that you will lose valuable time of your trip to New York that you could be spending touring the city or visiting some of its best museums instead of waiting in line at the doors of a theater.
Getting tickets at the box office will be months later than when you could have bought them at home, there will be far fewer options and perhaps at an exorbitant price. Or they will be sold out given the high demand for Broadway musicals.

Volunteer At A Broadway Theater
Many Broadway theaters offer something called volunteer ushering. If youre interested, you can call up the theater and ask if they are hiring. Youll need to go through an hours training before the show and then get into character showing patrons to their seats. Once your ushering duties are done, youre free to see the show at no charge.

The Music Man On Broadway
The Broadway show The Music Man is finally back in NYC. It premiered in 1957 and won a total of five Tony Awards. In the latest adaptation, Hollywood star Hugh Jackman plays the male protagonist. This makes the musical The Music Man one of many Broadway shows that now feature a movie star on the shows stage. Did you know hes a two-time Tony Award winner? How To Buy Broadway Tickets Online
If you want to attend a Broadway musical during your getaway to New York, my advice is to buy tickets online before you travel because there are shows in high demand, the theaters fill up and the box offices immediately hang the Sold Out sign.
From experience I advise you to buy tickets online as far in advance as possible to ensure the best seats on the date you want and at a better price than at the box office, where you will also save having to wait in endless lines.
The American ticket market is dynamic, which means that prices go up as the date of the musical approaches and the supply decreases . If you wait too long you run the risk of running out of tickets or having too few tickets at a high price and in sectors with less spectacular visibility.
In addition, when you book online you can choose the seat you like best in the theater. For me, this is the easiest, fastest and safest option.

How To Choose The Best Seat To See The Musical
Another big question you may have when buying tickets for a Broadway musical is how to get the best seats in the theater to see the show. My advice is to try to find a balance between the type of tickets offered by the theater and the budget you have.
Generally, the most expensive ones are in the Orchestra area in the center and from there you will see the whole show perfectly. The Mezzanine and Balcony areas are the second and third rings respectively. Depending on the size of the theater, these sections will be more or less far from the stage.
