Wedding At Brooklyn Botanical Garden

Queer Non Binary Wedding Brooklyn

Brooklyn Botanic Garden Wedding Video :: Brooklyn Wedding Videographer – NST Pictures

Im finally sharing a selection of my favorite photos from Goldie and Dalias Brooklyn Botanical Garden Wedding! This wedding was almost completely documentary style, with only 10 minutes allotted for any formal portraits, I absolutely loved their choice to do this which gave them more time to enjoy with their family and friends. Heres a short snippet of what Goldie and Dalia had to say about their Brooklyn Botanical Garden wedding:

Our wedding came together as a vibrant party at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, with food and drink and music and dancing and 172 guests . Being night owls, we chose to have the event in the evening. As the sun set, we danced down the aisle to applause and cheers as Love is in the Air played.

At one point during our short and sweet ceremony, we spontaneously and simultaneously started jumping up and down with sheer joy. Dancing among guests began immediately, and throughout the night staff had to make announcements for people to please be seated so food could actually be served and eaten. We smiled so much our faces hurt, and looking at these pictures now induces that same mirth.

The establishment of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden over a century ago paralleled the modern development of New York City. As skyscrapers, paved streets, and bridges grew like weeds, it was nearly impossible to find a soft spread of grass or blooming flower garden. Not much has changed to the concrete jungle that has come to define the cityscape. And thankfully, not much has changed to Brooklyn Botanic Garden since opening in 1911. It continues to be a designated green public space where people can come and get lost in the mesmerizing splendor of nature. It is no wonder then that the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is an in-demand venue for couples planning their wedding in New York City.

Amy + Robert // Brooklyn Botanic Garden Wedding

There is nothing quite like late October in New York, it is a special time of year as the weather changes. A wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is the perfect place to get married. Nicole and Scott spent many years of their relationship doing long-distance. Nicole was in law school and Scott was doing his medical residency. The two spent many weekends commuting via Amtrak back and forth to be together.

New York was the first place they were able to live together as a couple. So having their wedding locally at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden made it even more special!

We wanted to have a chic, fall, New York wedding, said Nicole when asked to describe the couples vision for the day. The goal is to incorporate tradition while still being modern, glamorous, and personal to us.

Both partners hail from Long Island. Yet their relationship is very much tied to the places they lived during the four years while doing long-distance. They brought in personal touches from their history as a couple. including having their florals done from a local farm in Massachusetts they often used to buy flowers from while Scott was in school. Beer served was from their favorite brewery. There was even a New York table at cocktail hour with pastrami sandwiches and bagels and lox!

A Wedding At The Palm House

Diana and John managed to put together a low-key wedding in a totally glorious setting.

Maybe the fact that they got ready together helped take the pressure off, but my feeling is that those two were just the kind of people to take everything with calm and poise.

Since they live in Chicago I did not get the chance to meet them before the wedding day, and upon arriving at the hotel I was welcomed by two kind and sweet people getting ready just like they would on a regular morning, besides the Pnina Tornai dress, the Hugo Boss suit, and the half dozen people gravitating around them with makeup brushes and boutonnieres.

We took a stroll around Grand Army Plaza for some pictures before heading to the Palm House at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden for a very special and VIP tour of the several greenhouses on the premises.

The whole day went by smoothly, but yet it left a dazzling memory. Congrats to the two of them, may you keep shining effortlessly!

The Brooklyn Botanical Garden set the perfect mood for this chic late fall affair. From the first look, to the evening portraits, the romance between these two was palpable. The bride wore a sleek lace gown, while the groom was dapper in a dark charcoal suit.

Situated in central Brooklyn, the gardens have the feeling of being miles away from the city. From the Lily Pool Terrace to the Cherry Esplanade, I scouted out the best backdrops, and captured these timeless looks.

Red brick paths and ornate terraces lent classical elements, while the curated foliage gave a more natural, almost rustic look. This photo from a recent Brooklyn Botanical Garden wedding is one of my favorites.

The Brooklyn Botanical Garden, founded in 1910, has over 900,000 visitors per year. The 52 acre garden has over 14,000 taxa of plants and is one of the most iconic venues to get married.

In the Fragrance Garden, the arching boughs of the topiaries bend over the couple as if to issue a blessing on the newlyweds. The Lily Pool Terrace remains serene while the surrounding cherry trees rustle in the breeze.
