Price Of Sunday New York Times At A Newsstand
Ive googled and can only find outdated data from 2012. How much is it today. Also what hours do those stands operate?

You’re correct, it wasn’t easy to find the prices on line. Took several searches. I finally found a pdf scan of the front page of last Sunday’s paper, I blew it up and can see that it’s $6.00

Sorry, yes, stand times vary depending on where they are. Some stands will have the NY Times on Saturday night.
There was a time decades aqo when the Sunday NYT was a massive publication, perhaps 5 inches thick folded in half, with special department store advertising magazines, etc. Of course, everything has changed and many of the department stores have disappeared. In this period there was a cartoon of a man emerging from his apartment to pick up his Sunday NYT using a small fork lift truck.
Plenty of newsstands are open 24/7.

The last time I was in NYC, I had a really hard time finding a hard copy of the Times & I was at the Crowne Plaza in Times Square. I ended up downloading it onto my Kindle which cost me less but I prefer reading in hard copy

Things I Learned From Publishing A Poem In The New Yorker
1) They really do accept poems from the slush pile . My acceptance came ~6 months after I submitted.
2) They pay $350 for up to 25 lines, and $10 for each additional line.
3) I should trust my initial instincts more when it comes to my work.

When I first wrote my poem Strawberries I sensed it was good. I thought: This might be one of the best poems Ive ever written. It was trying to do a lot at once, but I liked the too-muchness. It felt true to how my brain feels when I write, like its experiencing an electric and menacing too-muchness of memory, connecting images that have no business being connected except that they do. The epiphany at the end felt truer than just about any other epiphany poetry has ever led me to .
I very quickly shared early drafts of Strawberries with several poets I admire who were looking to do a feedback exchange. Nobody told me to scrap the poem, but nobody seemed blown away either. I began to doubt my original enthusiasm. They suggested cuts and edits, which I applied. I changed the title. I read the poem to audiences at several readings, hoping to see the spark catch. But again, nobody looked ablaze. I searched the poem, trying to figure out if it was good or not.
I withdrew it from journals. I pulled it from my manuscript.
Eventually, a dear friend encouraged me to put it back into my manuscript, so I did, somewhat reluctantly.
Then I got an email from the New Yorker.

Roughly 100 staffers of The New Yorker magazine walked off their jobs on Thursday in protest of pay disparities.
The walkout started at 6 a.m. Thursday and included copywriters, web production staff and other union employees. Its scheduled to last until 6 a.m. Friday and didnt include bylined staff writers, who arent members of the union.
Still, the protest stands to interrupt production of the prestigious title helmed by longtime editor-in-chief David Remnick, including its digital platform. And it suggests trouble brewing over contract talks between the union, the NewsGuild of New York, and management at the Conde Nast-owned weekly as they continue to hash out a proposal by the union to boost wages.
The union on Thursday cited the magazines ongoing failure to bargain in good faith and offensive and unacceptable response to the Guilds initial wage proposal, submitted in November.
The union also released a survey Wednesday suggesting a wide pay disparity among non-writer editorial staffers at the magazine, particularly women of color. On average, the union claimed, the magazine pays its female staffers $7,000 a year less than their male counterparts.
After two years of negotiations, the union said, it proposed a base salary of $65,000 a year with gradual pay hikes so that all editorial workers could survive in New York City, where the magazine is based.
As for the negotiations, Conde Nast countered that it has only held two bargaining sessions related to economics.

How The New Yorker Plans To Double Its Paid Circulation To 2 Million
The New Yorker belongs to a rare club of publications whose revenue from readers exceeds that of advertisers. Total paid circulation for the highbrow weekly rose 12.3 percent last year to 1.2 million, even as the subscription price grew 20 percent to $120 for the most popular print-digital bundle. Today, readers contribute 65 percent of the revenue.
Based on that growth and the Trump bump, which helped deliver The New Yorkers biggest month in subscription growth in January 2017, executives at the news and culture weekly and parent Condé Nast believe they can double the number of paying subscribers by 2023.
Other publishers are trying to see how far they can go to get readers to pay for content, with ad revenue flagging. Elsewhere at Condé Nast, Wired just put up a paywall, and Vanity Fair has said its planning to. The New Yorker can charge a high price because it has an especially die-hard fan base , so the lessons of its experience are limited.
It was scary to think about charging three-figure sums, said Pam McCarthy, deputy editor of The New Yorker, recalling the decision to raise the price of the bundle to $100 in 2016. Then, we thought, people in their 20s are paying for Netflix when we were embarking on this increase. And The Times success is encouraging, as well as The Washington Posts growth. The lesson of the past five years has been not to undervalue ourselves.
