The Best Time To Visit Orlando

4 cheap winter getaways

While most would argue, Orlando is a lovely destination to visit year-round, there are some periods that are considered optimal for an Orlando Trip. Some say mid-January through April are the months in which the weather in Orlando is most pleasant. This is the period right before the rainy season begins. Orlando has plenty of great outdoor activities, so it would be a shame if you’d have to cancel your plans because of bad weather. Do consider that spring break and Easter take place during this season. This may cause increased airline ticket pricing and busier recreation venues. It is recommended to travel outside of these holidays, if possible.

Driving From New York To Orlando By Road

Hi there

We plan to go to New York city in august 2011, stay for 4 nights, rent a car and drive down to Orlando. Does anyone know the costs of hotels on the way down?

We plan 2 nights. Is it easy to find OK motels on the way? And how is the drive? o)

It’s very easy to find hotels along the highways – but that drive is very, very long and very dull. It’s going to take you 3 days. Flights are often super cheep down to Orlando – often as low as $100 each. Why not fly?

It is 1740 kilometers from New York to Orlando by road it is about the same distance from Copenhagen to Barcelona. Would you give yourself two days to drive to Barcelona?

With only 4 nights in NYC and 2 nights in Orlando, it makes no sense to drive. That’s a 1,740 kilometer drive on one of the most congested group of highways in the US, not to mention boring.

I personally would skip Orlando altogether, but if you’re going to go….FLY

its not that bad a drive. I did it one Christmas and despite loads of snowbirds on I95 I did it in 2 days, stopping off just 1 night in Annapolis,MD.

I can’t say it was the greatest road trip ever, but on the way back we had more time and we drove up to Atlanta, a quick call in to Chatanooga and then drove through the Appalachian Mountains to Roanoke and then the spectacular Skyline Drive to Washington DC.

I deliberately entered New York through Staten Island and Brooklyn to drive over the Brooklyn Bridge.

If you can spare 3 nights, maybe 4, you could do this trip in reverse .
