But the main reason to choose a hotel in Times Square is value. Even if you visit NYC at Christmas, you are going to find value in hotels around Times Square.
You can pick up a super cheap room at a decent hotel for excellent value, especially during the latter parts of covid restrictions. These current prices wont last long once everything is back to normal but it is still an easier place to pick up a bargain due to high competition for budget hotels.

Why Stay In Upper West Side
Anyone looking for some peace and quiet will feel right at home in the Upper West Side. Known for Central Park, this is the place to be if you want to combine shopping, a plethora of museums, and peaceful tree-lined streets. Its also very easy to get to the other popular areas on the subway due to the good connections so youre not sacrificing action for the quieter location. Tours That Are Worth The Money
Every tourist attraction and destination in the Big Apple has a tour option. While our family tends to stay away from all-day tours, we do have some short ones that we recommend to families with kids and those with limited time in New York City.
They cover a large area of the city and include stops at places school-age kids find interesting.
Below are two tours our family really enjoyed on previous weekend trips:
Central Park Pedicab Tour from Peter Pen Tours
Central Park is one of our kids favorite places to visit in NYC. Its relaxing and quiet depending on the time of day you visit we normally go right after breakfast.
They can spend all day around Heckscher Playground if we let them! If you want to see other notable spots around the park or you just want to get a feel for the park itself before spending a day there, we recommend doing a pedicab tour.
Weve done the one hour tour on a previous visit to New York and stopped at Strawberry Fields , Bethesda Fountain , The Dakota and Cherry Hill.
The Super Tour of NYC from On Location Tours
This tour is geared to any superhero movie or comic book fan. This 3 to 3.5 hour tour takes you to over 40 superhero TV show and movie locations around the city.
Our little guy loved being our tour guides assistant and holding Thors hammer to lead the group back to the bus there are 3 stops where you get off the bus for photo ops . He also enjoyed seeing spots that were featured in Marvels The Avengers movies.

Madison LES Hotel
All guest rooms include a coffee maker, a work desk and a flat-screen cable TV. Guests of Madison LES can use the on-site business centre or fitness centre. Flatiron Building is 2 miles from the hotel, while The Highline Park is 2.2 miles away. LaGuardia Airport is 9.3 miles from the property.
Hotel Indigo Lower East Side
Each room here will provide you with a minibar. Featuring a bath or shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer. Extras include a desk, a safety deposit box and ironing facilities. At Hotel Indigo Lower East Side you will find a 24-hour front desk. Guests can dine at Mr. Purple or enjoy a dip in the open-air, heated pool.
The William Vale Williamsburg Brooklyn
