After a pandemic hiatus, the restaurant is back and better than ever. Chef Sal Scognamillo, owner and operator of Patsys Italian restaurant, is the third generation of Scognamillos to sit at the helm. The Scognamillo recipes at Patsys have remained largely unchanged. Dishes like the stuffed artichoke appetizer, eggplant parmigiana, and spaghetti and meatballs are as rich and flavorful as ever. Ingredients like meats and cheeses are sourced from other family businesses who have worked with Patsys throughout the years so every bite remains true to tradition. Patsys maintains a strong community of repeat customers who know theyll get exceptional cuisine that remains note-perfect year after year. Hours have just expanded to Tuesday through Sunday, 1-9pm. Know How To Get Around In New York
You could jump into a classic yellow taxi which is a well-trusted mode of transport! Being the most populated city in the world, NYC is also accessible by alternative taxis such as Uber and Lyft.
The public bus is also a good option, especially if youre trying to get between the five boroughs. If youre a first-time visitor, its a good idea to get a map of the bus routes!

After 28 Shootings In 72 Hours De Blasio Says ‘we Are Not Going To Allow Gun Violence To Continue To Grow’
NEW YORK The last week in New York City has been like the wild west.
Astonishing statistics show a 342 percent increase in shootings last week – 53 compared to 12 in 2019.
They also show a 414 percent jump in the number of people shot – 74 compared 14 in 2019.
CBS2’s Marcia Kramer reports Mayor Bill de Blasio is vowing not to let the city slip back into the bad old days of gun violence, but the demand for cuts to the NYPD budget has some wondering if officers have abandoned proactive policing.
Police said there were a total of 28 shootings with 38 victims in 72 hours over the weekend.
Officers responded to eight shootings Friday, 18 on Saturday and two more Sunday.
De Blasio acknowledged the warmer months typically bring more violence, and said some of the shootings have been linked to gangs and retaliations.

“In the beginning of the year, we saw an uptick in crime and shootings. We saw some leveling off for a few months in the beginning of the coronavirus crisis. Now, we’ve seen something very troubling in recent weeks,” the mayor said Monday.

The numbers put the mayor between a rock and a hard place in terms of balancing public safety and police reform.
Kramer asked de Blasio how the violence impacts his budget negotiations with the City Council, which is from the NYPD.
The mayor specifically mentioned the Bronx and Brooklyn North.
The budget is due on June 30.

Cuomo today announced that New York City will enter Phase 1 of reopening on June 8 and that five other regions Central New York, Finger Lakes, Mohawk Valley, North Country and Southern Tier can enter Phase 2 of reopening today. Phase 2 allows office-based workers, real estate services, in-store retail shopping and some barbershop services to resume. Each industry is subject to specific state guidelines to maximize safety and social distancing. Business guidance for phase two of the state’s reopening plan is available here.
