• Performing Arts Teacher Reuben Blundell’s CD “American Discoveries,” came in first place in the 2022 American Prize for Orchestral Performance, a national competition.

  10/3/2022The world-premiere recording of three works by female, 20th-century American composers has already received positive reviews from Gramophone Magazine among others, and is regularly played on classical radio stations across the country. The three composers are Patricia Alden Beach of Massachusetts and New York , Alexandra Pierce of Washington DC and California and Linda Robbins Coleman of Iowa. Dr. Blundell researched this music at the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Erwin Fleisher Collection of Orchestral Music, and the CD was released on New Focus Recordings in 2021.

It opens on Thursday, September 15th and runs through the beginning of November. In addition, Gregg is an artist in residence on Governor’s Island and will be exhibiting at the Affordable Art Fair in New York City next week, September 22 – September 25 with the Young Soy Gallery from Hong Kong.
