Have Coffee While Strolling High Line
Once youve grabbed your coffee at the Hudson Yards take a walk on the High Line. This is something we try to do on every trip to New York.
The High Line is a 1 1/2 mile long elevated walkway and park that cuts through Manhattans West Side. It was an old freight train track, that is now a pedestrian path through condos and skyscrapers. You catch some great views of street art along the way as well.
- It takes about 30 40 minutes to walk from Hudson Yards to the Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking District.
Explore The Lower East Side
The Lower East Side is one of the best areas in all of New York especially with its small markets, coffee spots and history, too.
As I mentioned before, take a look around the Tenenmant Museum, visit Katz Deli and explore the craft stalls and thrift stores that make this area of New York totally unique.

The Landmark Cruise: Circle Line Sightseeing
If you’ve only got a short time in NYC, then you’ll probably want to consider a sightseeing cruise. This Landmarks Cruise with Circle Line Sightseeing is a fun, comprehensive option. This tour includes landmarks located around Manhattan’s shores south of Hell’s Kitchen on the Hudson and around Lower Manhattan up to around the 20th Street Level on the East River.
So, some of the places you’ll see include the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, the High Line, One World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, DUMBO, the Brooklyn Bridge, and many more.

Are you a fan of the mythic Ghostbusters saga? You may want to check out the Ghostbusters HQ then. Hook and Ladder 8, the building used for the exterior shots, is a working firehouse that has been around for more than a century. The firehouse is located at 14 North Moore Street at its intersection with Varick Street in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan.

Dani Luv, famed troubadour of the former Sammys Roumanian Steakhouse on the Lower East Side for over 20 years, will now be performing at Bacalls. Look for laughs and sing-a-longs nightly starting at 7pm. The restaurant holds down a roomy space at 220 W. 44th St. and is open Wednesdays to Saturdays 4-11pm and Sundays 4-8:30pm. The Statue of Liberty is more a symbol of the United States and the values embodied here than any other monument in this land.
It was most certainly a welcomed site for immigrants coming to the United States through Ellis Island which makes sense. If you havent seen it in person, its massive which makes it very cool to visit.
The Statue of Liberty is grouped into the category of Colossal Statues and the first on record was built in 280 BC in Rhodes.
