Looking to park outside the city. My hotel is in Times Square. I have no idea how transportation or parking works. Any tips??We will be arriving late as the drive from Ohio is long.

I park way in PA and take the train in. 🙂 Paoli on the way west side of Philly. Super easy parking and super cheap too. I have no desire to deal with the traffic beyond that area. It’s worked out really well. I’m assuming you want to be closer though? 🙂
There are dozens of options for parking and riding. A lot depends on how many you are, whether there are any small kids, whether price is more important or convenience etc. Don,t make us type options that won’t work for you. If you just want to park near your hotel, there are websites like
How long are you in Manhattan for? If just a day or two it probably makes sense to find parking not far from your hotel
Traffic in Manhattan or before Manhattan? Is price an issue? Are you just 2? I’m not familiar with the route from Ohio. How do you arrive?
We drove from here in Ohio twice and parked once in a garage near our hotel and once at Newark Airport and rook the train over to Manhattan.
As long as there are no baseball games, you can park safely in the citifield commuter lot. I think it’s 5 bucks. The 7 train is right there and it’s about a halfhour subway ride back to Manhattan

Edison ParkFast manages more than 15 parking locations in Manhattan and runs promotions on their website while Icon Parking has more than 200 facilities in Manhattan and also offers regular online specials and discount coupons.
The average price for monthly parking in Manhattan is more than $500, according to Tohn, but some garages will offer discounts if you commit to a six or 12-month contract, so go ahead and try to negotiate when you book your parking spot.
