The Financial District is located in the very south of Manhattan. It offers the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the One World Observatory and the Battery Park several important New York sights. The Brooklyn Bridge is just as quickly reached as the Staten Island Ferry and my beloved Grand Banks in the adjacent Chelsea on the Hudson River.
This is a great place to stay even with kids. Its great here because its pretty quiet in the evenings.

Studio apartments can accommodate four people in two double beds, or for larger families, there are larger apartments that can accommodate families of up to 8 people.
The apartments vary slightly, but all include a kitchenette, air-conditioning and heating, refrigerator, microwave, flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and a small dining area.

I mean, Central Park is the big thing to see and it extends from spans 51 streets! Admittedly, I dont know too much about the park and have mostly just been to Bethesda Terrace! I do want to see Belvedere Castle on a return trip.

One of the most coveted spots for tourists in New York, this area makes up Times Square, Broadway and stretches all the way West to the Hudson River. When you picture New York, this is the area people usually imagine and is perfect if you want to be in the middle of all the action in terms of bright lights, performances, shopping, and people. Youll also be within walking distance of these key areas as well as Macys, Madison Square Garden, plus the areas in Midtown East making it ideal if you want to traverse New York by foot. Its also perfect transport wise since most of the major subway lines and bus routes run through this area.

Avoid The Tourist Traps In New York And Dont Buy Anything Off The Street
There are a lot of tourist traps in New York and some people will tell you anything to get you in the door. If youre walking through a heavily trafficked area and someone gives you a flyer for an attraction promising you that youll see Aziz Ansari for $0/$5, dont believe it. Those comedy nights rarely include anyone famous and many of these shows are free as long as you meet the $15 drink minimum.
Similarly, there are a lot of restaurants that CLAIM to have authentic food, but the ones that are authentic dont need to assert that they were the first or the best. The real ones will be FULL with locals waiting for a table, so use Yelp to find the real thing.
Dont buy stuff, especially water bottles, on the street. I always check if the bottle has been previously opened, however paying more than $1 for a water bottle is a rip-off. No matter how thirsty you are, keep walking to the nearest bodega. The CVS down the street, as well as the local bodega, are good places to buy a bottle of water.
