The Great Gatsby The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgeralds third book stands as the supreme achievement of his career. First published in 1925, this quintessential novel of the Jazz Age in NYC. A true classic with plenty of relevance today.

Catcher in the Rye The hero-narrator of The Catcher in the Rye is an ancient child of sixteen, a native New Yorker named Holden Caulfield. Through circumstances that tend to preclude adult, secondhand description, he leaves his prep school in Pennsylvania and goes underground in New York City for three days.

The Town and the City In this compelling first novel, Kerouac draws on his New England mill-town boyhood to create the world of George and Marguerite Martin and their eight children, each endowed with an energy and a vision of life. Not all of this book is set in NYC, but I find it still relevant.

What Is There To Do In Syracuse

24 year old women heading down to Syracuse for a girl’s weekend. What is there to do here? Any good clubs? Male strippers?!

First off. Go to the Dinosaur for dinner. At roughly $15.00 pp for a meal that will make you stagger out the door, it is the best eat’s in town. If you do not have much time to wait for a table…up to an hour…and if the weather is nice…get your food from the take-out counter and eat it outside. If you are there for the lunch crowd, you can get a table really quick or even eat at the bar without any hassle. Don’t let all the bikers scare you, they are really friendly. Everyone is very cool after a big ‘ol plate of Dino’. My personal favorite is the “Pork-sket Platter”. Check out the menu online. From the Dino’ you can walk to “Armory Square”…ask anyone for directions, it is easy to get to. This is the place to “see and be seen” There is every type of bar, tavern, pub n’ grub, martini bar, and “meat market” you could want. To avoid any parking hastle, there is a pay lot across the street from the Dino’ and easily accessible to 81 or 690 to 90. Enjoy your stay.
