The mayor appoints a three-member commission with a name as obscure as its task: the Advisory Commission for the Review of Compensation Levels of Elected Officials.

Critics also scoff at the notion that elected officials haven’t had a raise in seven years. Because of term limits, most haven’t even been in office that long.
