2022 Blackstone LaunchPad by StartupTree Ideas Competition
Have you noticed a problem at school, at home, or in your community that you want to solve? Have you imagined solutions and creative new systems to major problems but been frustrated at not knowing where to start?
Introducing the 2022 Blackstone LaunchPad Ideas Competition!
Designed specifically for students without prior experience, the Ideas Competition is an easy way to get your toes wet and see if entrepreneurship could be right for you. All you need to apply is an idea, no matter how small!
The first round of the competition will take place on campus, and top students from each of the four tracks will be selected to win $1,000 each. These four winners will join finalists from each school in the Blackstone LaunchPad network for a national round of the competition for the chance to win a $10,000 prize. Student Loan Default Rate
In 2018 the default rate for borrower’s at CUNY Bronx Community College was 13.6%, which represents 114 out of the 838 total borrowers.
A cohort default rate is the percentage of a school’s borrowers who enter repayment on certain Federal Family Education Loan Program or William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program loans during a particular federal fiscal year , October 1 to September 30, and default or meet other specified conditions prior to the end of the second following fiscal year.

Don Dinero is known as the first major American-born, Spanish-rapping hip-hop artist to make the major-label jump and find widespread commercial acceptance. Currently, Don Dinero is the Latin President of ADDVENTURES MUSIC and continues to Educate & Empower Independent artists to own operate & Monetize their music.

Student To Faculty Ratio
With a student to faculty ratio of 18 to 1, Bronx Community College is about average in this regard as the nationwide rate is 15 to 1. While this does not translate directly to class size, it’s a good indicator of how much time professors will have to spend with their students on a one-on-one basis.

Commercial And Civic Projects
In 1889, White designed the at , which, according to White’s great-grandson, architect Samuel G. White, is the structure for which White should be best remembered. White was director of the Washington Centennial celebration. His temporary triumphal arch was so popular, that money was raised to construct a permanent version.
White also designed the at the intersection of the and , on Washington Square, the , , as well as the , originally for . It is now part of the campus of and is the site of the .
White was also commissioned for churches, estates and other major buildings outside New York City:
He helped to develop ‘s , his last design.
White designed several clubhouses that became centers for New York society, and which still stand: the Century, , , , , and clubs. He designed two golf clubhouses. His design in Suffolk County on the South Shore is said to be the oldest golf clubhouse in the United States, and has been designated as a golf landmark. Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, South Carolina boasts the second. It was completed in 1902. His clubhouse for the , built in 1894 overlooking , burned down in 1934.
Sons of society families resided in White’s Chapter House at the building is now used for college offices.

Early Life And Training
White was born in New York City in 1853, the son of , a scholar, and Alexina Black . His father was a dandy and Anglophile with little money but with many connections to New York’s art world, including the painter , the stained-glass artist , and the landscape architect .
White had no formal architectural training like many other architects at the time, he learned on the job as an apprentice. Beginning at age 18, he worked for six years as the principal assistant to , known for his personal style and considered by many to have been the greatest American architect of his day.
In 1878, White embarked on a year and a half tour of Europe, to learn about historical styles and trends. When he returned to New York in September 1879, he joined two young architects, and , to form the firm of . As part of the partnership, they agreed to credit all of the firm’s designs as the work of the collective firm, not to be attributed to any individual architect.
In 1884, White married 22-year-old Bessie Springs Smith, daughter of . She was from a socially prominent family. Her ancestors had settled in what became Suffolk County in the colonial era, and , was named for them. The White couple’s estate, Box Hill, was both a home and a showplace for the luxe design aesthetic which White offered to prospective wealthy clients. Their son, , was born in 1887.
