Dr. Michael Hansen is a skilled and well known optometrist in the Redondo Beach area. Dr. Hansen has been in practice for over 10 years and sees hundreds of patients each year. Advanced Eye Care Center and Dr. Hansen take a lot of pride in providing patients with comprehensive eye exams using state of the art technology, fashionable eyeglass frames and top of the line contact lenses. Dr. Hansen graduated from the prestigious Southern California College of Optometry, Suma Cum Laude back in 2000. He is a licensed optometrist in the states of California and Florida. He is also a member of the Torrance and Manhattan Beach Chambers of Commerce, the American Optometric Association, South Bay Optometric Society, California Optometric Association, and the Ladera Linda Home Owners Association Board.
When you first become a patient you will receive an eye examination which will include a complete health and eye history, testing for Glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. Dr. Hansen will then sit down with you to go over your results and recommend the best course of action to meet your needs in your particular visual situation. Once the eye exam has been complete and explained, you will receive additional contact lens services as needed. We have experience in fitting a variety of contact lenses, including patients with complex prescriptions.

Precautions You should Be Taking
- ALL patient encounters will be by appointment. Walk-ins will not be allowed.
- Your temperature will be taken before entering the building.
- All patients must complete a COVID-19 questionnaire upon arrival at the practice.
- No paperwork appointments now require pre-registration on our website.
- We ask that you arrive at your appointment alone unless you are a minor and require adult supervision then we will allow one caregiver inside with the child.
- Patients may be asked to wait in their car for their appointment, depending on how many people are in the practice at any given time
- We ask that upon entering our clinic, that you immediately wash your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer.
- Anyone who enters the building will be required to wear a face mask. If a patient does not have a mask, we will provide one at the front door.
- We may ask you to leave the office if you show flu-like signs, cold/fever, or coughing.
- Staff will not shake hands with any of our patients. Please dont take it personally.
- We will be practicing safe distancing within the clinic and we ask that you do your best to keep a minimum of 6 feet between you and other patients.
- Coming out to your car to dispense glasses and contact lenses .
