The Hotel’s Pool Is Small And Mellow With Several Whirlpools
The New York-New York Las Vegas pool is small and seasonal but pleasantly mellow, which is a nice change compared to some rowdy Las Vegas pools like those at the Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand. A handful of cabanas are available for rent, and there is a whirlpool that guests can use free of charge. On weekends, finding a lounge chair can be difficult. The pool has a bar, and poolside food and beverage service is available.

We will be staying at nyny in August, have stayed 6x previous as like the hotel but the pool does let it down, just seen on a response on ta reviews from manager that guests can use sister property pools? Is this all mgm resort pools? Has anybody done this?

Do you know that they redid the NYNY pool ? Maybe 2 years ago. Still not great but much nicer than it was.
Can anyone confirm that the pool has been renovated, and what they did? I am staying at NYNY in two weeks and would like to know how the pool is, and if as the OP wrote, that you can visit sister property pools.
They have done nothing. Still the worst pool complex in the MGM family. No foliage, roller coaster noise every 2-3 mins. How you remember it from 2 years ago, is how it will be today.
They definitely redid it a few years back. nothing special but somewhat better than before, maybe a few more tree’s and i think an island in the middle of the pool. i’ve used the luxor pool while staying at nyny and not had a problem.
i don’t see them letting you use the MGM pool though, that’s in a much different class than the other two i mentioned

The hotel has 2,024 rooms and suites, divided into several categories named after New York avenues or landmarks. Decor is classic but a tad bland and dated, consisting of simple wood furniture, generic brown carpets, padded headboards in purple hues, and seating in a neutral palette with throw pillows in darker shades. Rooms are also beginning to show some wear and tear — especially in carpets, walls, and furniture — and some guests have reported maintenance issues in bathrooms.
Starting at 350 square feet, the New York-New York Casino hotel rooms are spacious and have large windows, some of which offer expansive Strip views. Bed configurations include one king or two queen-size beds, all with pillow-top mattresses and plush duvets. Rooms come in two main types: Park Avenue and Madison Avenue. The only difference between them is size — the latter are 50 square feet bigger than the former. The hotel also offers a number of suites — ranging from 500-square-foot Spa units to 1,100-square-foot Penthouses — all of which feature four-person jetted tubs in the room, plus sitting areas. Higher-tier suites have dining tables and wet bars.

At 84,000 square feet, the New York-New York casino is medium-sized but lively, with 1,500 slots, 67 gaming tables, and a Central Park theme. Smoking is allowed inside the casino, which is common in Vegas.
Zumanity at New York-New York Hotel & Casino is the other major hotel feature. The popular Cirque du Soleil performance is for adults only and is a mix of burlesque and cabaret.
