Do You Want To Stay At One Of The Hotels Near Broadway Shows In Nyc

Hotels cluster near the Broadway shows in NYC, which find their home in and around Times Square and the Theater District. In fact, according to Times Squares official site, there are 44 within walking distance of Broadway. Popular options include the and the Millennium, but thats just the beginning. Whether youve already purchased your ticket toCompany or plan to brave the TKTS line, theres a hotel nearby for you.

Some nearby hotels even offer up Broadway-themed suites. Sofitel New York is the official hotel of the Tony Awards and it’s right in the heart of everything on West 44th Street. The hotel boasts three theatre-inspired stays, the Broadway Juliette Balcony Suite, the Tony Awards Terrace Suite, and the recently unveiled FUNNY GIRL Suite featuring signature décor from the Broadway hit. Each suite is unique and showcases iconic Broadway memorabilia like scripts, posters, Playbills, invitations, props, and photos.

Still weighing the pros and cons of staying in Times Square? This area has plenty to love, from great theatre and music to a wide range of shopping and dining. You can’t beat its central location. Its also family-friendly, with attractions like Rockefeller Center and Madame Tussauds nearby. However, its also bright, loud, and crowded, so its not the ideal option for everyone.

Lower East Side & Soho Best For Shopping

The Lower East Side is one of the oldest neighborhoods in New York!

The Lower East Side and SoHo are two super cool neighborhoods, located very close to each other. Theyre not that big either, which is why I decided to combine them into a single recommendation and theyre great choices, especially for people who have been to New York City before!

NOTE: SoHo in New York is different from the Soho in London, so please dont mix them up!

Both of these areas are residential, so they lack popular landmarks, but theyre still pretty close to the main attractions in the city center and walking distance to Little Italy and Chinatown as well bonus points!

Another nice activity to do here is just to take a walk on the streets and try out new restaurants, cafes, and shops for all pockets and preferences . And if youre a shopping lover, SoHo is for you, offering so many fashionable boutiques!

My Favourite Budget Places To Stay In New York

Staying at the Best Hotel in Times Square | New York City

One of the most common questions I get from readers is if I can recommend them a good hostel to stay in New York that is not too expensive. There are a few decent budget places to stay in New York but forget about finding a cheap room in New York. For anything half decent, good location, clean -youre looking at around $150-$200 for a private room. One way to save money in New York is by choosing to stay in a hostel. Based on my recent trip to the Big Apple, Ive rounded up my 4 best hostels and hotels in New York that offer great value in terms of location, price and facilities.

Upper East Side Where To Stay In New York For Families

Upper East Side is a well-known upscale and posh area of Manhattan and the perfect spot for those that want to indulge, shop in designer boutiques, and explore some museums. It might sound familiar if youve watched Sex and the City or Breakfast at Tiffanys! It is said that the Upper East Side is a wealthy area but this kind of started to change lately.

Now, the Upper East Side is an interesting area for everyone out there, although one thing stands true: its quite impossible to find budget accommodation here . So I totally recommend this area to those of you that are looking for the best luxury hotels in NYC!

Other than this, this awesome area has plenty of attractions and activities to offer, making it the perfect place to stay with the family! A part of 5th Avenue passes through the area . This is the perfect place to go if youre an art and museum lover, as youll find plenty of them here: the Guggenheim Museum, the Jewish Museum, Neue Galerie, the Frick Collection, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art all of these and more are located here!

Holiday Inn New York City

Nestled in Garment, one of the busiest districts in the Big Apple, the Holiday Inn New York City Times Square offers easy access to a variety of excitements. This midtown Manhattan hotel is steps away from unmissable spots such as Bryant Park, Herald Square, and more. Explore Hells Kitchen and discover all the best it has to offer, as this three-star accommodation is also close to the 42nd St Port Authority bus terminal and less than a mile to New York Penn Station.

Get a good nights sleep in the Holiday Inn rooms that come with some thoughtful amenities. If its too early, relax and unwind for a moment in their furnished seating area. Have sweeping views of NYC, including Times Square and the Empire State Building. Some of the other highlights include a work desk, flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. And just like most hotels on Times Square in New York, theres also free Wi-Fi here.

Daily breakfast is available at the on-site restaurant, Rattle N Hum. They usually provide some delicious homey food. Its not something that will wow you, but definitely not to be missed. In addition, they also serve lunch and dinner.

Theres no better way to get to know New York than to travel like a local. And for that, we highly recommend renting a CitiBike from the hotel. After that, start pedaling and explore some of the best restaurants and food in town that never sleeps!

The Pros And Cons Of Staying Near Times Square

Times Square is often referred to as The Crossroads of the World, although it was on the seedy side through the 1990s. Now tens of millions of people visit it each year and it’s one of the city’s most popular destinations for tourists.

Thomas Hawk/Flickr

When you walk through Times Square, there are performers everywhereone of the most infamous of which is the Naked Cowboy. Its bright, its loud, and its crowded. Some people might love the energy, while for others, another neighborhood may be a better home-base during a New York Trip. Many big-name hotel brands have hotels in and near Times Square. For example, theres the Hyatt Centric Times Square, which has more than 500 guest rooms, and a rooftop restaurant with great views. The Knickerbocker has been refurbished but still has a beautiful Beaux-Arts exterior. The Michelangelo is a high-end, Italian-inspired hotel thats great for theatergoers.

One of the most well-known of the Times Square hotels is the New York Marriott Marquis, which is right in the heart of the action. There are rooms overlooking Times Square, and its home to The View Restaurant and Lounge, which is a revolving restaurant boasting panoramic city views.

Yet another option is the Westin New York at Times Square, offering regular guest rooms and one-bedroom suites that are family-friendly.

Why Is Central Park One Of The Best Places To Stay In Nyc

POD Times Square, New York City | Hotel Review!

This area is where to stay for a relaxing, quiet and calm New York City visit but with fairly easy access to the touristy spots in Midtown and Downtown Manhattan.

It is a very safe area, extremely family friendly and more upmarket than the likes of Times Square. Those who prefer to travel in luxury should look at hotels in Upper East Side.

Visitors who would like to walk or run around Central Park on a morning couldnt ask for a better location.

Subway access is good but not the best. However, this is a very walkable part of the city.

It does take longer to reach the top sights in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, plus this is a more expensive area in general to stay and eat for those traveling on a budget to consider.
