Gorgeous room with TWO terraces! Very clean and modern with warm color schemes. Shower had good pressure and there were ample towels provided. However we could not enjoy a cigar outside on the terraces! What?!!! Not the best area if you’re a tourist. Although we had the terraces, the views were old, dilapidated, and trashy industrial buildings. Hopefully this is anbup and coming area of Brooklyn. I would be remissed if I did not mention the beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge at night which illuminated in the most beautiful colors!

The area that the hotel is located in now used to be filled with warehouses and was mainly used for industrial purposes. You can still see some of the warehouses that used to occupy the area. A lot of it has either been torn down or renovated and turned into condominiums and workspaces.
1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge does an amazing job of utilizing pieces from the past into the building itself. In fact, 55% of the hotel is recycled. The wooden tiles to the large industrial lamps are most likely recycled someway. Even rainwater is collected and used to water the plants that are placed all over the hotel.
The artwork and furniture are even sourced from local artists to show of Brooklyns talent. In addition, there are free fruits that are sourced locally available for guests to grab-and-go as they walk in and out of the hotel.
Worth Getting Out Of Bed For
Keep an eye on the hotels film schedule for a cosy night in the screening room, and try to catch the Lobby Farmstands monthly tasting event, which features food and drink from local farmers and artisans. Venture outside to stroll along the promenade, down to , a restored 1920s merry-go-round in a very modern glass house, or over to Brooklyn Bridge Park. Although a bit further south, Brooklyn Botanic Garden is also easily reached and well worth a nature-filled visit.
