Brooklyn Fare Kitchen & Market To Open Store

Brooklyn Fare Kitchen & Market is preparing to open its fourth supermarket location, a 21,000-square-foot space on Manhattans Upper West Side, reports Supermarket News. The new store, the companys largest, will not offer in-store dining, but it will have prepared foods and deli offerings for takeout and delivery.

In addition, Brooklyn Fares downtown Manhattan location is removing its in-store seating to make room for more product, according to Brandon Issa, regional manager for the company.

We would love to do more dining in our store, but the issue is that we don’t have much room, and rent is not cheap, so we have to maximize the space, he said.

Brooklyn Fare has also reopened its Michelin three-star Chefs Table restaurant in Manhattans Hudson Yards after it was closed to indoor dining due to COVID restrictions. The in-store tasting menu experience is back, expanded to 16 courses, and priced at $430 per person.

The structure of the dining room makes it relatively easy to implement social distancing between tables, said Issa, although counter seating, one of the restaurants popular features, has only partially reopened.

We had a few regulars contact us right away when we reopened, and come back in, said Issa. From what we’ve been seeing so far, people have been pretty comfortable. They’ve been enjoying the experience.” Full Story
