Sameday Health Settles With La Over Allegations Of Falsifying Test Results

LOS ANGELES â The Venice-based COVID-19 testing company doing business as âSameday Healthâ allegedly falsified and forged test results, according to a complaint released Thursday by the Los Angeles City Attorneyâs Office, which reached a $22.5 million settlement with the company.

Sameday Technologies, which operates under Sameday Health, has 55 testing sites throughout the country, with 16 locations in Los Angeles County, including five in the city.

NEW YORK New York Attorney General Letitia James today issued a warning letter to Sameday Health a private lab with locations throughout the country that claims to offer expedited coronavirus disease 2019 testing for a fee for not meeting promised turnaround times for test results. Numerous consumers have now passed the timeframe in which they were promised test results, even though they paid for expedited testing. Todays letter notifies Sameday Health that New York law prohibits false advertising and instructs the company to immediately update its signage at test sites and on the companys website to accurately reflect how long individuals can expect to wait before receiving COVID-19 test results. Attorney General James also demands refunds for all consumers who paid for expedited test results but did not receive them in the timeframe initially promised.

Todays letter follows two separate letters Attorney General James sent earlier this week to LabQ and to Labworq, demanding that the companies take similar steps to update their websites and their signage, and to inform consumers about realistic wait times for COVID-19 test results.
