Assistant Director Social Work

BronxCare Health System now has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Neurologist to work with an urban/underserved population in a dynamic and growing academic department. BronxCareâs Department of Pediatrics encompasses an Inpatient and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, four outpatient practices, and an ER. It is also an academic teaching center with 44 residents, medical students, and an active research agenda with multiple grant funded programs.
Responsibilities for this key leadership position include the provision of outpatient care to children from birth to 21 years of age in-person consults to the pediatric inpatient services and ER, and on-call coverage on a rotating schedule. In addition, the precepting of residents and medical students from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and other programs, as well as participation in the departmentâs academic agenda, including grand rounds, conferences, Quality Improvement programs, and resident/medical student didactics, are an integral part of this position.
