Where Is Pier 83 In New York

Getting To Pier 83 Circle Line Cruise

Pier 83 Manhattan New York City Hudson #shorts

I’d like to ask what the best way of getting to Circle Line Cruises on Pier 83, West 4nd Street using public transport.

Am I right in thinking that the nearest subway is the Times Sq 42nd St? If so, could we get the subway to there and then go across to the bus Terminal at 42nd St Port Authority, then get the westbound M42 or M50 bus to 42nd St and 12th avenue?

I understand that from the nearest subway, the destination may be a fairly long walk away?

Thanks,

We walked there the other day, from 8th Avenue, 42nd street ….. there was nothing open down there, but we walked slowly took us about 45 minutes ….. dont know about public transport, as this option wasnt available for us …. or alternatively get a cab.

As a single look at a subway map would have told you, no, the closest subway station is not Times Square, which is at Seventh Avenue. The closest station is instead the 42nd Street/Port Authority Bus Terminal station of the A/C/E trains at Eighth Avenue. Of course, you can get the M42 anywhere along 42nd Street all the way over to First Avenue, so you don’t need to be at the closest subway stop to find it. You can also take the M50 bus to get to the Circle Line pier.

I would take a cab in which I have done a few times from Times Sq, its really not an expensive fare.

The Day Party: NYC Pride on Pier 83

The majority of piers in New York are located along Hudson River. Hudson River Greenway stretches all the way from the Upper West Side down to Battery Park and measures 3.2-miles. Strolling down here, youll have the most stunning views of the city. The Greenway also allows you to do pier-hopping as youll pass a pier every few hundred feet along the way.

    • Pier 25

Pier 25 is one of Steffens favorite piers in New York, mainly because you can find Grand Banks here. Grand Banks is a historic fishing boat with a bar. Besides Grand Banks, you can play beach volleyball, soccer, or mini-golf course at the pier. For families, we recommend the nearby playground with views of One World Trade Center.

What to expect at the pier: Grand Banks, sports, playground, views of One World Trade Center
    • Pier 26

Next to Pier 25 is Pier 26. On Pier 26 there is a restaurant called City Winery. They also have a wine bar on the roof from where you have wonderful views of the Hudson River and One World Trade Center.

What to expect at the pier: restaurant, rooftop bar, views of One World Trade Center
    • Pier 40

Judging by its looks alone, Pier 40 does not belong to the prettiest piers in NYC. You can easily recognize it by its bright brick facade and the metal struts on the roof. Its mainly used for school sports events. Yet, what makes this pier interesting for us are the Hornblower Cruises that depart from here. The only reason youd come to Pier 40 would be to board a cruise.
