11/5/2018I didnt know it could be this bad. An ordeal from hell. I am giving one star because Nelly and the front desk, Edith in billing, and the overall pleasant attitude of an over worked, ill-equipped, not ready for patient care staff. I really cant stress how great Nelly and Edith have been, but they can only do so much to make up for the substandard care. My initial couple of appointments gave me hope, that was snatched swiftly and at a horrible cost. I am typing this with shards of remaining tooth or bone scraping my tongue constantly from 15 extractions of teeth, healthy teeth, due to bone loss. This was 11 weeks ago and still, no replacements. Today they decided the shards need to be removed. But they are too busy. Come back another day. What does that mean?!?!?! I am suffering, where is the compassion? The professionalism? But hey, its interns practicing on poor people like guinea pigs, honing their skills to go to private practice after butchering the under class. So uncomfortable. So disappointed.

There are several clinical sites for general practice residency education and training. Our Hospitals clinical and education training sites of Blondell, Wakefield, Prospect and Broadway locations are similar in patient population and patient care and are all located in the Bronx.Our Schiff clinical site is utilized for a one-month rotation where you will work with the Endodontist and/or Fellow and Oral Surgery and Generl Practice attendings. The Department has clean, modern, state of the art clinics that are new or recently remodeled. Residents provide care to patients under the supervision of experienced general dentists as well as with board certified specialists in other dental specialties. By working beside the faculty, while treating your own patients, you will grow in experience and confidence.
Residents can expect medical rotations in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and Anesthesiology as per ADA standard, as well as experiences in the O.R. where mentally and/or physically handicapped and special needs patients are treated.
