How Guest Reviews Work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score, we add up all the review scores and divide that total by the number of review scores we received. Guests can also give separate subscores in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free WiFi. Guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently theres no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didnt actually stay there. To edit a review youve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we’d publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we wont display any reviews that include or refer to :
- Politically sensitive comments
- Personal or sensitive info
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Rooms Have Bland Decor And Come With Mini
The 206 guest rooms at Hilton Garden Inn New York/Manhattan-Midtown East feature rather bland and out-of-date interiors. Expect dark patterned carpets, white walls with lime-green feature walls, white bed linens, tacky white satin curtains, brown wooden furniture, and simple artwork. Rooms include either one king or two queen beds. There are only three suites available at this hotel, each featuring a private outdoor terrace with the best city views in the house. Amenities in all rooms include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves, Keurig coffeemakers, desks with ergonomic chairs, telephones, safes, irons and ironing boards, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms include either walk-in showers or shower/tub combos with hairdryers and Neutrogena toiletries. Accessible-friendly rooms are available.

the location is excellent. we walked to Times Square, Central Park, many Broadway showsIt may be a long walk for some people but for us it was perfect.
Spacious and clean rooms and hotel. Beds were pretty comfortable. Pillows were great. Nice area near subway lines. Hotel was quiet. Didn’t hear neighbors and we slept well. Parked at recommended garage one block away for around $50 per day.

The location was convenient in midtown Manhattan, close to the subway and walking distance to many attractions in the Midtown area. The room size was decent and larger than many of the typical older Manhattan hotel rooms. We stayed at the New Yorker the last time and this room was decently larger. The trade off with this chain budget hotel is no frills, no onsite restaurant . They let us hold our bags and the guy was super friendly and accommodating.
