Why Should You Adopt
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you’ll have a friend for life.
What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Horrible. Very horrible truely is bad i call to ask information. About a cat i surrender there. Ive never in my life hear or seen my cat scratch someone in the eye and made them bleed i know it was lie cause they way the girl sounded on the phone. Made ne wait like 20 mins to be answer in 20 mins i could be there in person . everyone was laughing in the background. When i was talking to the young lady and she was also laughing . everyone is lacking at their job over here.

I adopted one of the most gentle sweet cats I have ever known from the Brooklyn Shelter, with the help of Anjellicle Cat Rescue. Usually when cats first leave the shelter, they have some emotional issues to work through, especially after a long transport. I live in PA, so she was delivered by the Mayors Alliance directly from the shelter. I had been grieving the loss of my cat in February, and in July I adopted Cat aka Raven. She is truly a gift

The ASPCA Brooklyn Community Veterinary Clinic by the Alex and Elisabeth Lewyt Charitable Trust is located in the East New York neighborhood. We offer vaccine and wellness services by appointment only for pet parents who reside in Brooklyn.

Effective September 1, the ASPCA will resume our regular low-cost pricing for services. We remain committed to providing affordable veterinary services to Brooklyn residents and you may qualify for further financial assistance if you receive public assistance, unemployment benefits or are facing eviction.
The ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic provides basic services, such as physical examinations, vaccines, in-house diagnostics and some medications free of charge for qualified clients. Additional fees for treatments or medications may be applied based on the recommendation of the veterinarian after examining your pet. You will be provided an exact estimate for consent prior to treatment or billing.
